Coldplay string arranger’s new band make live debut

May 12, 2011

Good evening. We’d like to introduce you to The Black Ships, the new band featuring Davide Rossi, the musical maestro who has been responsible for the string arrangements on Coldplay’s last two albums. Davide has formed The Black Ships with Nick McCabe and Simon Jones (both of whom you may know from The Verve) and Mig Schillace, erstwhile drummer for Portishead.

The Black Ships make their live debut at London’s King’s College Music Union on June 2nd 2011. Click here for tickets – and check out the video below for a preview of their music.
