Q.  Dear Oracle,

I heard that ETIAW official's clip was filming in Paris ? Is it true ? If it is, when the guys were filming and where was it exactly in Paris ?

Thanks a lot for your answer,

Best wishes.

No, I think you may have misunderstood the reference to Paris in Roadie #42's blog. It was referring to the graffiti artist whose name is Paris. It was filmed in London's Docklands area.

Q.  Would you explain a little about ETIAW video?
What is the sign that Phil has uploaded about the video?

I love the way fans are hungry to know every single solitary last detail about what the band are doing but all I can tell you is the video - featuring the band - was shot at Docklands on Tuesday/Wednesday this week. I promise once you've seen it, I will tell you more. The photo that appeared was taken at the shoot so gives a hint of the feel.

Q.  Hi, Oracle,
maybe you've already answered this, but I wanted to ask about the Viva la Vida video, the one where Chris is dressed like a king, wandering around with the painting under his arm. Was the video inspired by the Enjoy The Silence video by Depeche Mode?
If it was, are the guys DM's fans?
AND since you are all-knowing, do you have any idea why this new Oracle page isn't working on my screen? When I try to 'roll it down' only one half of the page goes down. I've tried everthing and it's still not working.
Thanks in advance. xxx

Indeed, I have already answered this and the answers are yes and yes.

Make sure you're scrolling both arrows; the one on the far right for the website page and the Oracle one within the page. If it still doesn't work I suggest trying an alternative Internet browser e.g. Firefox or Safari...

Q.  Further to Pedro's the video was not shot in real time?

Although it looks like it was all done in one take, apart from the illusion of time passing quickly, they actually ran through the song five times and it was filmed in an hour.

Q.  All I've got to say is lolwut...?

Please explain...xD

All I've got to say is what on earth does lolwut mean? Actually, don't answer that I really do not wish to know...

Anyway, what's there to explain? You must have missed this alternative video when the single was released. Two were made and this one was directed by Mat Whitecross - long time friend and collaborator.

Q.  Hello Oracle, I was just wondering... is this video for real?

Similarly to the other question about where a video originates from, this is also an official video that can be found on the band's official YouTube page - ColdplayTV - this was the second video made for the single, an alternative if you like and an homage to Depeche Mode .

Q.  Dear Oracle,
Can you please tell me where I can find a video of Coldplay playing High Speed at the HMV at London's Oxford Street (otherwise known as their one hundredth show)? I know you have posted a recording on your website, but I have checked YouTube and cannot find a video of it. I would absolutely love to see them playing that song live! Thanks for all of your help!

It seems there is a void where a video could be. We ourselves struggled to find footage of that gig and it has proven to be elusive. Xfm Radio recorded and broadcast the show but obviously that was only audio - as you heard.
Then... along came Craig from here in the UK with this link proving that footage does exist from that historical day.

Q.  Hi Dear Oracle!
I am so happy that Coldplay is coming to Colombia!! Lots of crowds will be there. Please let me know if there will be a video recording from Latin America or from the tour...It will the best concert we have this year, and as far as I know people are also coming from Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, and other countries only for Coldplay!!

All I can tell you is that Roadie #42 and myself had a chat on the plane over and we will both certainly be looking through various lenses over the next couple of weeks...
Keep an eye out for his blogs and some updates via Anchorman too.

Q.  Hi I saw a Coldplay video on a music channel once, I haven't seen it since but really liked the song and the video. It looks like they are playing in a studio room, Chris Martin is wearing a Rolling Stones t-shirt. Can you tell me what the song is and where I can see the video?

The song (and video) you're looking for is Shiver. This was the band's debut single with Parlophone after their first release - The Blue Room E.P.

Q.  Almighty Oracle,

Will there be a behind-the-scene video for Strawberry Swing video? I think that video is brilliant and I would like to find out how they made it.

That was a while ago now so it's unlikely. Anchorman interviewed the directors Shynola that tells how it was made so maybe you could check that out.
