Q.  So I had an amazing time at the Coldplay concert last night in Munich, and it brought back a question I've had for a while. How do you pronounce Mylo Xyloto?

Chris explained: it's pronounced my-lo zy-letoe (or / 'maɪləʊ 'zaɪlətəʊ / if you speak phonetics).
To break it down one step further:
my lo zy (rhymes with my) le (rhymes with the) toe

Q.  Dear Oracle,
Will Chris, Will, Guy, and Jon be in the Mylo Xyloto movie, such as Chris playing the role of Mylo? Thanks!

I think you may be a little confused. The Coldplay film is a live concert film - it's not about the Mylo Xyloto story that the comic is based on.
The comic characters (which are all animated also) are not based on the band members nor are they them *playing* any of the characters.

Q.  Hello there, Oracle!
I was wondering if the artwork for Mylo Xyloto (like that whole painted wall in the CD booklet thing) is a real wall or if it was made in some kind of photo editing software... or both. I think I heard that Will Champion did a lot of painting for the sets and stage props and what not but I was just curious because I absolutely love the style. I'm currently working on my own sort of drawing/painting thing inspired by that painted wall. Or whatever it may be. Thank you! :)

The graffiti wall does exist although it is 9 panels that make it whole. There's no digital trickery, it's all real spray paint.
Will didn't take on a leading role, they were all involved in creating it and the ideas behind it. There are individual touches here and there but Paris painted the sets and instruments.

Q.  Greetings oh wise Oracle...

This question might have been asked already, but which Mylo Xyloto album artwork do the boys consider to be the 'main' or 'original' one?

Ooh that's an interesting question yet at the same time if we think about it... why would anyone who had an absolute give the option? I think the beauty of it is that they see that both work so well but suit different individual styles within the parameters. As with lyric interpretation, the band have left it up to you to decide which you prefer. That's also why I like the personalised MX artwork.

Q.  At the opening of Paradise and Charlie Brown videos we can see underneath the song title the numbers MMXI and MMXII respectively, this would have anything to do with the song titled MMIX that serves as a opening for Every Teardrop is a Waterfall?

The Paradise video was made in 2011 and the Charlie Brown video was made in 2012. In Roman Numerals those years are represented as MMXI and MMXII respectively. Neither have anything to do with MMIX on MX - which does not mean 1010 by the way.

Q.  Dear Oracle,
I know that Chris said that Mylo Xyloto is a love story but I don't know if the other albums have any story. If they have, Can you tell me what are and summarize the main ideas?
Thank you so much.

Mylo Xyloto does have themes though is not a concept album per se but it's the only one of the band's 5 to have a story running through it. This doesn't mean there aren't themes in the other albums but MX certainly has a more constructed form.

Q.  Hi Oracle, How are the boys today? Are they quite nervous about the release?

To be honest, they've been a bit busy. Chris arrived in the UK this morning and went straight to meet Jonny & Guy at the Q Awards where he presented Gary Barlow with the Classic Songwriter award and they collectively picked up the Best Act In the World Right Now award.
Phil tweeted this morning that it's a relief for the album to finally be out there and I'd wager the band agree.

Q.  Gracious Oracle,
I have long awaited Mylo Xyloto's release and I can't wait till next Monday. I am looking forward to getting the album, finding a nice place to sit, and listening through the whole thing as I have with the other albums. However iTunes is streaming one song a day till its release and it is very tempting to listen to. Should I listen to the songs each day or should I wait for Monday to enjoy it and all its splendor. Thanks so much.

Oh that's such a tricky question! I am very old school so personally like to wait to hear an album in its entirety but here we are in the day & age where we can listen to one song per day. I can't help you!
There are different ways to introduce new music, yesterday Tom Waits' label (ANTI) sent out invitations to listen early ahead of his album's release next week. You could legally share it with a personal code for up to 5 friends. How could one resist? Legal AND invited!

Q.  What happened to PoC and Up in Flames? I thought Phil announced that they would be the b sides to the Paradise.

I know what you're referring to but when Phil tweeted "Weird sense of relief announcing Mylo Xyloto and release date. Paradise, Up in flames, Princess of China - let's get em out there! PH", he wasn't putting those songs together as one release, he was just freely mentioning some song titles from the album for the first time.

Q.  Oracle, I have a question regarding the leaking of the album name before it was officially announced: did the leak have anything to do with the decision by the band to reveal it when they did? And how frustrating is it for the boys to see a secret like that come out to light? Are they seeking any damages from the source that leaked the name? Was there (or still is) a reason for the secrecy to begin with?
Ok, I know, I said one question and it's more like 4, but I guess that will make up for all the other times my questions have not been answered.
With much love, Dan.

It's not a legal issue so no, there'll be no action taken. I know you'd like me to elaborate but it's just the nature of the beast and more than expected these days.
I just hope you understand why when pressed I tried to divert people from the name. Why? Well, I can't put it any better than Tom Waits has.
