Q.  Dear Oracle, I was watching the trailer of the live 2014 album and it seemed to me that all the performances were taken from the special that was on tv around the time of Ghost Stories' release. Is that true or are there other performances from the tour?
Thanks- Claire xo

All the information you need - including the track listing - is in the news piece.

Q.  In Live 2012 CD Chris is saying something in the Charlie Brown number. It's something like Thank you Netherlands come to Paris".

What is it exactly and what is the meaning of this?

No mention of Netherlands. Chris says "Unbelievable. Thank you for letting us come to Paris". The bit after is tricky because of a slight echo - "and letting us see something so beautiful as". Mmm, it sounds like he's saying 'heaven' but not so sure.

Q.  Hi! Yesterday I found a Coldplay Live 2006 in Toronto, and at the beginning it said that was a production for Parlophone, so I think is kinda official, and by the way is a very good video.
So my question is Why is not in Recordings or wasn't released like the Live 2003 or 2012?

That DVD should not be available anywhere. It was never released and therefore I'm afraid the copy you have is an illegal bootleg. That's why it's not listed in the Recordings section.

Q.  I have a Scientist single DVD, but the cover is black, and on the website, under recordings, the cover is white, and I know that the white one is a cd. Was it only released in certain countries? (Also, when I put it in my DVD player, it said it couldn't play because of limitations, does that have to do with the whole releasing thing?)
Much appreciation! Have a great day!

The website is showing the CD, not the DVD and its sleeve is white. The DVD cover is black - as you know. DVDs are released according to regions. If you're in the USA (region 1) trying to watch a European release (region 2) you'll have problems. Depending on where you live will depend on what DVD will play, though there are DVD players that allow you to watch region 0 which is almost region free.

Q.  I've been wondering about this since I pre-ordered my copy of Live 2012 on iTunes, why the long gap between their two live films, was a Live 2006 or a Live 2009 ever considered?

They were considered; one was even shot but the end result wasn't to everyone's liking so it was canned.

Q.  Now having Coldplay Live 2012 in my hands I realized that in the back Violet Hill has an * and the other song no and when I imported the songs to iTunes Violet Hill didn't appear.
It is a problem with my CD or every CD have this problem? And why Violet Hill has the *? Love you hope you reply me and I will be so thanksfull. Love you.

Live 2012 is a DVD film with CD. The asterisk (*) next to Violet Hill denotes the song is on the DVD only. That means as it isn't on the CD, there is no Violet Hill to import to your iTunes library.

Q.  Hello wise Oracle! For months I've been wondering why Lovers in Japan isn't a part of the Coldplay Live 2012 movie. It was one of my favorite parts of the gig when those hundreds of huge balls came out. It was one of the moments I was hoping to see again on DVD but unfortunately it's not there... Could you tell me why? Thanks :)

Lovers in Japan wasn't a permanent fixture on the MX tour so as it was only played towards the end of the tour, it was decided to leave it off the DVD.

Q.  I came across a film about Coldplay, I suppose which is titled as Coldplay - New Dimensions A Story Of Musical Genius. I would like to know about this if its official or something else??? I think it is still available in Amazon.

This has nothing to do with the band AT ALL and is an illegal bootleg film.
The main clue (apart from us not announcing it and it not appearing in our official
discography), the band would never have such an egotistical title.

Q.  O wise Oracle! At the end of the Coldplay Live 2012 I noticed that the track The Escapist is included in the credits, right after Up With The Birds. What is that supposed to mean? A hidden track?? Thanks.

There are no hidden tracks - though there are a couple of songs in the Extras section. I am pretty sure I heard The Escapist during one of the film's documentary bits...

Q.  Dear Oracle,
I saw a tracklist for Live 2012 from the official announcement on this very website, and I have to say, it's rather disappointing. Not that the songs are bad, but where's The Scientist, Politik, Shiver, and Lost!? Why can't Violet Hill be available on the DVD. I did pre-order a copy, but I just was curious.
Thanks, Jeremy

The DVD is made up of the majority of the show but not every song performed was included. Violet Hill is on the DVD though - but just not on the CD.
Lost! or Shiver weren't on the MX Tour set list. Neither was Politik at all actually. Some songs were only played a handful of times and that's why they were omitted.
The Scientist was in the set & as far as I know is included as a bonus track as is Don't Let It Break Your Heart.
