Q.  Hello dear Oracle,
I saw Coldplay perform on Friday April 27 in San Jose, California. Before they took the stage, there was a song playing on the speakers. The lyrics were something like, "How do I know if I love you" and then another line about "How do I know if I know you when you come out of the shower squeak to the touch and you smell like a flower".
Do you know what this song is called? I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. Thanks very much!

Yes, it's the song Chris tweeted about back on the 18th April, "check out How Do I Know by Here We Go Magic. I love it".

Q.  Hello Oracle,
I was wondering, with the band travelling across the globe so often to so many places, has there ever been a bad flight experience? (emergency landings, horrendous turbulance)
thanks :)

Yes, inevitably there have been many patches of turbulence over the years but a couple of really bad moments do sprint to my mind.
One I was present for. We were in a very small plane from Vegas to Palm Springs for a Coachella performance. I honestly thought I should try and call home to say my goodbyes as the plane took dips like a rollercoaster. Really rather frightening.
I don't suppose that compares to when Chris went on an Oxfam trip. The plane hit a dust patch on landing causing Chris to fear for his life!

Q.  The other day I got to thinking what would be the height of Chris, because he seems high and then search the internet and found a place where you You put the name of the celebrity and you could know the height of the famous, so Chris and I started said the measures 1.86 tall! is this true? I think not, but out of curiosity ...

Really? Wow. I did not know about that site. That's 1.86 meters so over 6 feet tall does sound about right, yes

Q.  Hello Oracle!
I was just wondering about the question you answered before pertaining to which concert was Chris walking inside a bubble. If this isn't Chris, he sure does have a look alike :)

I asked around because yes, that image does look like Chris and indeed it could be Chris. Whether it's Chris in a plastic ball though is another question entirely.

Neither Roadie #42, Anchorman or Vicki know of this happening so we're skeptical that it ever did. Not one person has come forward to say this saw this with their own eyes. Perhaps it's footage of Wayne Coyne walking inside a bubble and someone has doctored it.
It's amazing what they can do with photoshop and trickery these days.

Q.  Why did Chris Martin give a standing ovation to Maroon 5 in the Grammy's while no one stood?? Was Coldplay inspired by Maroon 5 when they were kids??

Coldplay have actually been around longer; Maroon 5 have only been around since 2002 (in that incarnation) so it certainly isn't because of any childhood inspirations - Adam Levine is younger than Chris!
However, at the Grammys Maroon 5 performed with Foster the People (who Chris has said he loves) and The Beach Boys (who the band love) in a medley of Beach Boys songs to celebrate their 50th anniversary, I'd say that's the reason Chris - and Jonny - gave a standing ovation was to congratulate 50 years of The Beach Boys.

Q.  Hello what will Chris Martin do for his birthday?;)

All I know is that tomorrow morning the band will appear on Good Morning America so that's how Chris will start his day.

Q.  Dear Oracle,
I was wondering how it was for Chris to sit behind Paul McCartney at the Grammys I saw them pan over to them during Bruce Springsteen.

They've met before and in fact the band played at the MusiCares ceremony to honour Paul a couple of days before the Grammys.

Q.  When I saw Coldplay at Globen, Stockholm 2008 Chris Martin said to the audience that The Scientist originally was written by Metallica. This is a piece of info that is nowhere to be found on the internet. Rather the opposite. Was this just a joke by Chris?

This is a fine example of Chris' sense of humour of which there are hundreds of examples. It must be hard sometimes to know what's true and what's not but Metallica are (almost) as far away as you can get from Coldplay so I assure you this is a 100% joke.

Q.  There is an episode of The Simpsons with Coldplay in it, was that actually Chris Martin's voice?
Huge fan of Coldplay!!

Many episodes of The Simpsons feature celebrity guests; sometimes they play characters and sometimes they play themselves. There are occasions where a celebrity is impersonated but in Chris' case, it was indeed Chris.

Q.  Hello, I always see that Chris uses the same blue shirt and pink, but I think it's always the same, so my question is, Chris has many blue shirts are the same or always the same as they wash them?

As with every tour, there are more than one of each outfit for each band member. Chris has several tees but they are laundered after each sow and rotated.
