Q.  Will the band ever play the song AROBTTH again? It seems like it hasn't been played live since 2003. Is there any reason for that?

There's no reason it won't make another appearance but it hasn't been played live for a while. Not as long ago as you think though. It was played substantially
during 2005 and the last time it was performed was 2007.

Q.  Dear Oracle,

If you could give a title to each of the two trilogies of Coldplay albums, what would you call them?

(Trilogy 1: Parachutes, AROBTTH, X&Y
Trilogy 2: VLV, MX, Ghost Stories)

It seems like the second trilogy has a lot to do with art, but I'm not sure about the first.

After X&Y was completed, Chris did tell me he felt the first three albums were a trilogy but as far as I am aware, there has been no mention of Viva, MX, Ghost Stories being another three-part body of work.
I have never considered giving one title to the first three albums. I personally felt their themes were less related than their journey. They do seem to tell a story of perhaps growing up and finding one's place in the world but that's just off the top of my head.

Q.  Hello Oracle!! :D
How are you? I hope you're well!! My question is: Which album was the hardest to make. I understand that every album has its long hours where you probably feel sick of the sight of seeing instruments , but did the boys find one album harder? Perhaps Parachutes being their first, or MX because it was a completely new wave of material for the band.
Thanks Oracle!

The short answer is X&Y.

Parachutes got off to a tough start as they began working with a producer who just wasn't right for them so they had to start again. Once they "found" Ken Nelson, things went pretty smoothly for a debut record.
There was a fair amount of pressure recording the follow up, A Rush Of Blood to the Head. Not just because an artist's second album is often notoriously called the Difficult Second Album but the sessions produced a lot of new material - written and demoed. The band decided to push the release date back to get it right.
X&Y was the most difficult for a number of reasons mostly down to many changes. The major one being Phil was on hiatus and they really felt the huge gap he left behind. Without him, they drifted a little.
Phil's return and the set up of The Bakery & Beehive for Viva & MX has certainly made the process easier. Hurrah!

Q.  Hello Oracle! How are you?

I found this video from a live concert from the Parachutes era playing A Rush Of Blood To The Head.
As you can see, the lyrics are different comparing with the album version, so, the question is: How many AROBTTH songs were composed and played during the Parachutes era?

Thanks for seeing all our questions and for answering them!!
Greetings from Franco :)

In 2000 and 2001, Coldplay toured the live circuit almost continuously to promote Parachutes. It was from October that they started to introduce new songs that were being written on the road for their second album - In My Place being one of them.
Some of those songs didn't make it such as Animals. In April 2001, A Rush Of Blood to the Head and God Put A Smile Upon Your Face were introduced followed by Murder and Idiot which again, didn't make the final album.

Q.  Dear Oracle,
I read a quote from AROBTTH Wikipedia page lately, which says that "For the album's singles, Martin asked Sundsbo what he could do; the latter suggested scanning the head of each member of the band". Then I check out the pictures of the single covers (In My Place, GPASUYF, The Scientist, and Clocks), but I couldn't tell which faces of band members was among what single cover . I could only guess about it. My question is if which head was taken for which single cover? Please Answer. Thanks :)
Abby, Philippines

Solve Sundsbo's artwork for AROBTTH and its subsequent singles is quite abstract. I do struggle myself to work out the covers for In My Place & Clocks but I have no doubt about Will & Guy's likeness.
Here's what I think:
In My Place - Jonny
The Scientist - Will
Clocks - Chris
GPASUYF - Guy
