Q.  My brother and I are convinced that Talk was a credits song in a movie. Specifically, we thought it closed out one of the Transformer movies, but after reviewing the dvds that is not the case. Was it in the select pre-release movie theater version of Transformers or in a different movie? 'We are lost and incomplete' without this information.
Thanks,

Q.  Hello Oracle!
If you really have nothing to do now, would you like to answer my question? Yesterday I was listening to the radio, when I heard an awesome, unexpected samba-remix of Clocks!
Could you tell me who did it and if it was a direct collaboration with the guys or an independent thing??
Thank you very much, and ciao from Italy!

But I mean, really, Spanish without translator help! There is a lot of people here asking in English, but their mother language are others, (like me! I'm Chilean) So why can't you?

Q.  Hi Oracle!

I hope you, the rest of the crew and the band are doing really well. I have two questions, and I'm hoping you could answer them for me:

1. On Amsterdam, is it Will or Jonny providing the backing vocals? I know that Will provides the most backing vocals, and that Jonny doesn't always like to sing... But the backing vocals in Amsterdam are quite low, and when Jonny sings, he has a very distinct low voice.
I've asked some fans, and most are really convinced it's Will (singing low), but... I'm just not sure.

2. Why is the small Mylo Xyloto title on the Mylo Xyloto CD case printed upside down? I noticed it when I wanted to arrange all of my Coldplay CDs into a neat stack. First I thought it was a printing mistake, but then I mentioned it to other fans and their MX CDs have the exact same thing. Is it a mistake? Or is it just a choice in design?

Thanks so much for reading these questions and helping out so many Coldplayers! And, if you answer these ones (or one of them), thanks in advance for that too!

Love,

S.

Q.  Dear Oracle,

I have no faith that this ridiculous question will be answered but here we go. The band's previous name was Trombolese for a short period.. Freed from Desire just came on shuffle, and it sounds very much like they keep saying Trombolese! Plus this was released in 1996... could this have been the inspiration behind Coldplay's early (and terrible) band name!?

Thanks!

Q.  Dear Oracle,

I can only imagine the countless number of marriage proposal requests the band must get for each show.

Up until recently, I always thought a concert was a strange place for a proposal. Then I saw a proposal during Fix You, which sent shivers down my spine.

Do you think a concert is an admirable place for a man to propose, or is it unromantic because it requires little work?

Q.  Hi Oracle! :) So I was looking around on iTunes and I found this. It's by a band called Mylo Xyloto, and it was released before Coldplay's album Mylo Xyloto was released.

Thanks so much! :)

Q.  I am in a band but they don't share same musical interest. They all love The Strokes, The Smiths etc. Although they are great bands they don't get me going like Coldplay, Mumford and Sons and early Radiohead. I am the songwriter yet don't want to put effort into songs if they don't like them because they are Coldplay inspired and not 'indie' enough. What do I do?? Go solo and get session musicians? I am 16 by the way.

Q.  Quick question: I've noticed that Chris Martin had an = sign on his hand during a concert or something (not sure since it was just a random photo on Bing), and I was wondering whether or not he meant it to be an HRC/LGBT(Q) supportive thing or JUST a thing (like, "Hey, I'm putting this equal sign for balance of the body and mind...").
Crazy curious, and I would appreciate an answer *squeal* It would be epic if you guys (or at least Mr. Martin), supported HRC.

Q.  So I went to see Athlete on Friday for their 10 year anniversary of Vehicles and Animals, and it was great. And although they may not be as successful as Coldplay, would the band ever consider say a 15 year anniversary of Parachutes, not necessarily a tour but a few one of small gigs. It would be hugely appreciated I'm sure, plus you can't deny that this is not only the greatest song in the world, but must be the best song played live!?

Q.  Greetings Oracle!

I had the amazing opportunity of being able to see Coldplay live during the MX tour when they came to Detroit. I knew they were going to be good, but both my friend and I were shocked at just how good the show was put together and how much we enjoyed it. Anyway, my question is do any other members of the band generally talk to the audience during a show besides Chris? As awesome and funny as Chris is, it would be cool to hear Guy, Jonny, or Will say something during the show. Thanks!

Q.  Hey Oracle.

Recently, Chris was pictured at the Emirates Stadium in London watching Arsenal vs Manchester United.

I know Will supports Southampton FC, and Jonny supports Tottenham Hotspur FC, but do you know which teams Chris and Guy follow (if indeed they do?)

If Chris was supporting his 'local' team it would be Exeter City (who play in the 4th division!).

Picture of Chris at the Emirates can be found here.
Thank you very much.

Q.  Well hello there, All-knowing Oracle.
I have a horrible cold right now and I am in a musical. It is nearly impossible to sing well. Then it occurred to me that Coldplay goes on tour for a loooong time and has to deliver a great show nearly every night at the tour's peak. How does Chris keep his voice in perfect condition?! Q.  TEAM ORACLE QUESTION #117
I'm a bit confused right now. I'm 18 years old and studying at university which means I've got to learn and work a lot. Sometimes too much. Sometimes I'm so so so fed up with it and then I start thinking... It feels a bit like I'm spoiling my youth. I'm young and free right now, but I don't have the time to enjoy it. I always got to sit on a chair and learn and learn even more. Then I think, maybe I should just stop with it or study something easier. But then it would feel like I'm destroying my future, and one day - when I will be too old for uni - I'll regret for being too lazy.
At the same time I'm having another dilemma. Studying hard now makes the chance that I won't have exams in the summer bigger, but this means little free time now (while I should be enjoying my "student-time") and (hopefully) three months vacation in the summer. Having fun now with the risk of having exams in the summer. I have no clue what to do!
Oh, I don't even know if I'm making any sense at all, but it would be nice if you - wise Oracle - could help me out of this.
