The Coldplay forest is in Bangalore, India where Future Forests will plant 10,000 mango trees this August to offset around 7,340 tonnes of CO2. The forests will also provide a sizeable food source and income stream for the local Indian farmers.
Coldplay fans can get involved by planting trees online. Each will receive a branded certificate and map, and the trees will be planted in the 'Coldplay forests'.

The thirty minute MTV News special features exclusive footage of Chris narrating his recent Oxfam trip to Ghana to highlight the issue of trade justice, as well as a host of celebrities including Bob Geldof speaking out about global poverty.
The footage of Chris in Ghana sees him speaking passionately with local farmers about how international trade rules directly affect their lives, buying produce at a local Ghanaian market and even taking part in a local dance. Speaking honestly about his trip to Ghana, Chris says \"part of the reason for coming here is to fuel my passion for the cause? I
haven't been on a trip for two years and I'm just sick of sheets of paper being handed to me and starting to believe that fair trade is just another product to advertise\".
The documentary reveals, Chris Martin meets many people affected by the current trade laws, including a four year old girl who gets up at 4am to work on her father's
farm, but he is unable to sell their produce due to the sheer amount of excess food being dumped in Ghana by wealthy countries.
As well as Chris Martin, celebrities including Michael Stipe, Angelina Jolie, Sister Bliss & Maxi Jazz from Faithless, Ana Matronic from the Scissor Sisters and Natalie Imbruglia also speak out to MTV about global poverty in the documentary.
The MTV News special also goes behind the scenes at the making of the Make Poverty History 'Click' advert and includes images from Oxfam's 'Have you Ever Felt Dumped On?' photo shoot, which featured high profile campaigners such as Jamelia, Michael Stipe and Minnie Driver being drenched in products like milk, coffee and rice.

There will be 5 countries staging shows on July 2nd with an amazing line up including Coldplay at Hyde Park.

To satisfy all Chicagoland and Wisconsin Coldplay fans, the band has announced a show at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 13th. This concert will go on sale Saturday, June 4th.
We encourage people to go to the Members' area to register for their free fan club. Members will be able to participate in a first come-first served ticket presale in advance of the Alpine Valley on sale date.

Fans were given the chance to win the trip and winners were brought in by MTV from all over Europe. The show was amazing & the band were on fire.
The lights, the set, the venue were all perfect but the performance topped it all. They began with Square One followed by Politik and Warning Sign made a welcomed return to a dream setlist of old and new. There was also a daredevil jump from the balcony by Chris.
An hour of the performance will be screened on MTV, Sunday 5th June, the day before X&Y 's release.

news_text[46] = "Coldplay will perform their biggest UK headline shows to date when they begin their 2005 world tour with a series of outdoor concerts this summer. They will play two nights at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre (also known as Athletics Stadium) in London, two nights at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton, and a night at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. Each venue holds approximately 30,000 people.
Coldplay are understandably very excited by the prospect of these huge shows. 'We've spent a long time in the studio and haven't played a gig for eighteen months', says Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland, 'so we can't wait to get out on tour and play our new songs live.'
The UK dates mark the start of Coldplay's biggest ever world tour, details of which will be released over the coming weeks.
The new Coldplay album, the follow-up to 2002's multi-Brit and Grammy Award winning 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head', will be released in June. Further information will be released in the near future.
